Cuban or Dominican Cigars?
I live in Singapore, a country with one of the most oppressive tobacco laws in the world (a pack of marlboro reds being US on average). Since import of tobacco is so tightly controlled, very few brands of cigars are sold here. Unusually, Cuban cigars have a huge market share here, and virtually all Habanos S.A. brands are sold here, albeit only in Habanos-certified shops. The only premium non-Cubans sold here are Dominican Davidoffs. The strange thing is that with the majority of cigars sold here being Cuban, Cuban cigars are actually cheaper than the Dominican ones (by a few dollars, but cheaper nonetheless). A Montecristo No.4 goes for US, while a Davidoff No.2 is about US. As a result, the only cigars I’ve ever smoked have been Cuban, and I have never tried a non-Cuban cigar before.
Having trawled through all the questions here and hearing about Dominicans being better than Cubans nowadays, I am wondering whether it is worth it to plop down some extra cash for a Davidoff, or stick to the relatively cheaper Cubans?

Smoking a Habanos Cuban Cigar on Top of Mount Fuji
Previous Part (to prove that it’s the summit): Arriving at the top. www.youtube.com Me, Steve, Sean, and Kana started our climb to the top of Mount Fuji from the Gotemba station on Friday, July 17, 2009. We hit a storm at around 9pm, and after pushing through until around 11pm, the four of us decided to stay at a hut. The next morning, two climbed down and two made it up. Thank goodness, everyone is all right now. 11:53 am on July 18, 2009 we hit the summit! For a total climbing time of 6 hours and 30 minutes, we made it down (by taking short cuts and sliding/jumping down the ashy side of the mountain) just under 2 hours and 45 minutes. What better way to celebrate than to smoke a Cuban in front of the Shrine at the mountain peak? Hell yeah!!! I call FIRST! Equipment: 3 bottles of water 3000 yen (around ) A banana from my friend 3 pieces of ham 1 energy bar Wearing nothing but jeans, t-shirt, a jacket, nike sneakers, a scarf, and a hat. NOTE: There is no embargo on Cuba in Japan, therefore the purchase of Cuban cigars is completely legal and legit. This particular cigar was purchased at a small cigar shop that specialized in Cuban and Dominican cigars, in a hotel a block away from Shibuya Station in Tokyo. Cubans start from around .

Anyone know about Cohiba Cigars?
I bought these while on vacation in the Dominican Rep. They werent expensive, only 15 dollars.
http://www.whisky-cigars.co.uk/cohiba-club-pack-p-1151.html?manufacturers_id=20
Are these the famous fidel castro cigars? or are they a cheaper version of those?
The back of the box says Habanos s.a.
So according to the first answer, these are cuban made.
But still i want to know if these are the premium Cohiba cigars, or a cheaper version.
Or am I mistaken in presuming that there are diffrent kinds of Cohiba Cigars?
